Design Notes

Here, we exploit this system for our biosafety device, expressing BI-1 under an inducible promoter, GAL1, and Bax under a constitutive promoter, ADH2. Thus, the apoptotic effects of Bax will be suppressed by the induced expression of BI-1, as long as there are galactose present to induce the GAL1 promoter.
